Harbor Market and Kitchen served up some fresh food last week to an impressive list of Hamptons celebs.
Billy Joel, who lives in Sag Harbor, was spotted at the Harbor Market. Joel recently wedded his long-time girlfriend, Alexis Roderick, with whom he is expecting his second child. Also on the schedule for this summer, Joel is set up to play the last concert at the Nassau Coliseum before it is closed for a large-scale renovation on August 4.
Summering on Noyac Bay, the Bravo TV star Andy Cohen also took a visit to Harbor Market. The notable visitors continued with Carl Bernstein, the renowned journalist who lives in North Haven.
B. Smith, the honoree of this past Saturday’s Dan’s Taste of Two Forks, was among the line-up of note-worthy guests.
Others who appeared during the week include Broadway and 30 Rock star Jane Krakowski, famous yoga personalities Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman, and Bridgehampton’s Bethenny Frankel of The Real Housewives of New York City.
And across the globe in Beijing, world-famous Chinese contemporary artist and activist Ai Weiwei was spotted sporting a Harbor Market and Kitchen T-shirt.
UPDATE: The Chinese government finally returned Weiwei’s passport on Wednesday, July 22, four years after revoking it during a crackdown on political activists in 2011. Now that Weiwei can travel freely again, maybe he’ll drop by the Harbor Market in person? Friends say he loves Sag Harbor.
