Martha Stewart to Help LongHouse Reserve Honor Dan Hinkley, Elizabeth Scholtz
LongHouse Reserve, the gardens and museum in East Hampton, will hold its Landscape Awards Luncheon this Sunday, September 26, plus a lecture by a master plantsman and garden writer.
During the luncheon, taking place at LongHouse at noon, Dan Hinkley will receive the Landscape Award presented by Jamaica Kincaid, the novelist and garden writer. Elizabeth Scholtz, the director emeritus of Brooklyn Botanical Garden, will receive the Garden Leadership Award presented by Scot Medbury, the Brooklyn Botanical Garden president.
Earlier that day, at 10:30 a.m., Hinkley will give a lecture titled “In Search of Good Plants” at Hoie Hall at St. Luke’s Church in East Hampton. Martha Stewart will introduce the lecture.
