Montauk Beach Sweep 2015
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 12: Give back to the community at the annual beach sweep! Sponsored and hosted by Concerned Citizens of Montauk, participants will help clean up the beach as the summer winds down. Head to any of these locations: Zum Schneider, Surf Lodge, Dirt Lot at Ditch Plains or Navy Beach Restaurant. Bags and gloves will be provided. Free lemonade will be served, courtesy of Sweet’tauk! Over 30 vendors participate in the market, which offers locally sourced fresh produce, baked goods, gourmet specialties, cut flowers, wines and more. Third Annual Montauk Seafood Festival
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 12–SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13: This annual festival, run by the Montauk Friends of Erin and the Kiwanis Club of East Hampton, is a delectable foodie event not to be missed. From noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, there will be two tents filled with local purveyors like Gosman’s Restaurant, Sloppy Tuna, Hampton Seafood Company, West Lake Fish House and more. Admission is $2 for adults and free for kids, with free parking for all. And don’t forget to take advantage of the free ferry that will travel between the two tents. Proceeds from the festival go to Toys for Toys, Pediatric Trauma, Montauk’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade, scholarships and more. Rain or shine!
