Deli Counter Changes Hands

After nearly 10 years in business, chef-owner Michael Mosolino is selling Deli Counter Fine Foods and Catering in Southampton.

Located at 623 County Road 39A, the business will close in January for renovations then reopen with a new look and menu, plus a new name, Fresco Pizza Deli.

“I am excited as the new owners have great ideas and care as much as I did,” Mosolino said on Facebook. “Our years of fresh, quality foods will carry on.”

Mosolino’s credits include working alongside Ina Garten and hosting a cooking show.

In 2012, Mosolino told Dan’s Papers, “I like to use whole ingredients from local farm stands and purveyors. I believe real tastes and real ingredients are what make ‘real’ flavors come together. I’m always experimenting and creating new dishes.”
