On Friday morning at Chef Doug Gulija‘s Plaza Café, Southampton-based public radio station WPPB 88.3 FM held a breakfast with special guest David Greene, a host of nationally syndicated radio program NPR Morning Edition.
The breakfast came the morning after WPPB and NPR co-hosted Family Matters, a discussion on personal and familiar finances, at Stony Brook University. The event was recorded for future broadcast.
For NPR, Greene has covered the Bush White House, the 2008 Clinton campaign and the recession across America during Barack Obama‘s first 100 days in office. On Friday morning, he spoke of his time based in Russia and Tunisia, and emphasized the importance of understanding international affairs. WPPB personality Michael Mackey interviewed Greene before the floor was opened to audience questions.
