Billy Joel and Jimmy Fallon Perform on ‘The Tonight Show’ and Vow to Crash WLNG

Sag Harbor’s Billy Joel and Sagaponack’s Jimmy Fallon reunited on The Tonight Show Wednesday, when Joel was the musical guest and sat for an interview as well.

Among their topics of discussion were the Billy Joel Channel returning to SiriusXM Radio on January 15, the plan they hatched last year to crash Sag Harbor radio station WLNG at midnight, and a party at Southampton resident Howard Stern‘s house they both attended.

Watch a snippet from the interview below, plus Joel’s performances of “Beast of Burden” with Fallon and The Roots, and “Scenes from an Italian Restaurant” with his band.

During a commercial break, Fallon, Joel, Tonight Show guest J.K. Simmons and Joel’s band—including Long Island’s Big Shot frontman Mike DelGuidice—performed “For the Longest Time” a cappella style. The performance was shared as an online exclusive. Watch below.
