Real estate start-up Compass has expanded its footprint in the Hamptons again, this time to the village of Sag Harbor.
Compass has brought Scott Strough’s boutique brokerage Strough Real Estate Associates into its fold. The eight-person team will operate as part of Compass effective immediately out of the 84 Main Street office.
“Sag Harbor is an important and increasingly popular sub-market in the Hamptons, and the Compass brand needed to have a presence here,” said Robert Reffkin, the founder and CEO of Compass. “Scott’s experience in both retail brokerage and development while offering the absolute best customer service experience is aligned with Compass’s core principles. His deep knowledge of the area, along with the expertise of these outstanding agents, will help us to better serve our client base across the East End.”
Strough, who founded his brokerage in 1995, was president of the Southampton Town Trustees for 17 years.
Compass launched its first Hamptons office last October at 2405 Main Street in Bridgehampton under the leadership of regional managing director Ed Reale. The company plans to occupy locations in East Hampton and Southampton early this year.
