Bon Jovi Surprises Fairleigh Dickinson Students at Commencement

Graduation ceremonies can be a drag. While it’s exciting to get your diploma or degree and celebrate academic success, the actual proceedings tend to take forever, with lots of formalities—unless you were at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s commencement earlier this week at the MetLife Stadium, in which East Ender Jon Bon Jovi made a surprise appearance!

Fairleigh Dickinson University won an MTV-sponsored contest in which students were asked to tweet their best college moments and tag their school with #JBJReunionContest. The winning school would get a surprise Bon Jovi performance of the song “Reunion,” from his new album The House is Not For Sale.

“Today marks the end of one chapter in your life and the start of another,” Bon Jovi told students. “Enjoy the book; you’re the one writing it.”

Congratulations to the Fairleigh Dickinson Class of 2017! Check out a behind-the-scenes video below.
