What: There’s no better way to savor the summer than with an evening of tacos, tequila, surf and sand. Guests are invited to experience a Latin inspired celebration like no other, featuring celebrated chefs’ culinary twists on classic Mexican cuisine. Where: Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa, 290 Old Montauk Highway
What: Enjoy this ocean-side food and drink celebration, where guests are invited to sip, savor and dance the night away, just feet above the sand. And it’s more than just incredible clams, with surf and turf on the menu. This event is hosted by Geoffrey and Margaret Zakarian. Geoffrey Zakarian is a star of Food Network’s Chopped, The Kitchen, Cooks vs. Cons, co-author of My Perfect Pantry, restaurateur behind The Lambs Club, The National in NYC, The National in Greenwich, Georgie and The Garden Bar at Montage Beverly Hills, Point Royal and Counter Point at The Diplomat Beach Resort and The Water Club at Borgata in Atlantic City and co-creator of Pro For Home food storage container system. Literary Death Match
When: July 7, 8 p.m.
Where: Guild Hall, 158 Main Street, East Hampton
What: Four dueling authors, both established and emerging, will perform their most brilliant work before a live audience and a panel of three all-star judges. After the readings, the judges take turns giving commentary. Two authors will advance to the finals, for an absurdly comical climax to decide who takes home the crown.

“Intimate Apparel”
When: July 8, 8 p.m.
Where: Bay Street Theater and Sag Harbor Center for the Arts, 1 Bay Street, Sag Harbor
What: Set in 1905, this romantic drama tells the story of a seamstress who makes beautiful undergarments for discerning clients. When she begins receiving love letters from a man working on the Panama Canal, she faces the possibility of romance, but also finds herself falling for a fabric salesman she works with.
