Complete Your Own Soldier Ride

By Taylor K. Vecsey
2 minute 08/05/2020 Share
In 2018, Wounded Warriors participated in Soldier Ride The Hamptons in Sag Harbor.

Over the last decade, East Enders have come out each summer to support wounded warriors by riding alongside them in Soldier Ride. The Wounded Warrior Project’s bicycle ride has gone virtual this year due to COVID-19, so there is still an opportunity to show your support.

“We’re giving you the same patriotic spirit and opportunity to support wounded warriors and their families, but with your own small group and route,” the Wounded Warrior Project announced in an email to supporters about Soldier Ride NY Virtual Community Ride.

A portion of the proceeds will go to support COVID-19 relief efforts at Long Island hospitals.

Participants can register online by picking a date to complete your ride anytime before August 31. You can ride solo or with friends and family. The route should be 25 miles long, but can take place anywhere.

The cost to register is $35 for adults and $15 for children. It includes a personal fundraising page to help reach your goal, a virtual bib to download, and your own official 2020 Soldier Ride T-shirt.
