The Suffolk in Riverhead hosted a Black History Screening event, offering an exploration of the history of Negro League Baseball and its impact on both sports and the civil rights movement.

Attendees were treated to a film that highlighted the struggles and triumphs of Black athletes.

Following the screening, a forum featured a panel of speakers – Mark MK McLaughlin, Gary Lee Brown, Fabio Montella, Chris R. Vaccaro, and Kia Wright – who engaged the audience in a discussion about the league’s historical significance.
