Alec Baldwin Will Attend East Hampton Library Authors Night
Amagansett actor Alec Baldwin and wife Hilaria Thomas will be welcoming their daughter into the world any day now, but assuming the baby isn’t born on Saturday, the Emmy-nominated 30 Rock star says he will will attend the East Hampton Library Authors Night on August 10. The Alec Baldwin Foundation is among the event’s chief sponsors and Baldwin is a founding Co-Chair.
Since 2005, this self-described “lavish fundraiser” to benefit East Hampton Library has grown to be the Hamptons’ premier literary event with more than 100 authors and over 1,000 guests in attendance in recent years.
Beginning at 5 p.m. under the tent at Gardiner Farm (36 James Lane) in East Hampton, an authors reception will feature dozens of writers meeting fans and signing books, including their most recent titles, which will be available for purchase. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served until 7:30 p.m. followed by dinner parties at 8 p.m.

Authors will host a total of 34 dinner parties at lovely Hamptons homes, including Pulitzer Prize-winner Robert Caro (The Passage of Power: The Years of Lyndon Johnson), Gwyneth Paltrow, Clive Davis (The Soundtrack of My Life), Nelson DeMille (The Panther) and painter Eric Fischl (Bad Boy: My Life on and off the Canvas), Jay McInerney (The Juice: Vinous Veritas) and many more. Guests get to choose which dinner they attend, so click the following link to view the list of all 34 parties.
Tickets range in price from $100 for the cocktail hour only, to as much as $2,500 for the more popular dinner parties. No word on which dinner Baldwin plans to attend.
