Hamptons visitor Mariah Carey announced this week that she will be bringing her all-time favorite, chart-topping Christmas hits to New York’s Beacon Theatre for four concerts on December 15, 16, 18 and 20.
This live extravaganza, All I Want For Christmas Is You, A Night of Joy & Festivity, will feature Mariah onstage performing hits from her worldwide bestselling holiday albums Merry Christmas, which has sold over 14 million copies to date and is certified quintuple platinum by the RIAA, and her critically acclaimed holiday follow up, Merry Christmas II You.
Special ticket pre-sales were available to her “Honey B. Fly” fan club members, and sold out, on November 3. They will be available to everyone starting at 12 p.m. on Monday, November 10 at theatre-ny.com.
Carey has also been confirmed as the headline star for the19th annual Jamaica Jazz & Blues Festival on January 29–31, 2015 at the Trelawny Stadium in Falmouth, Jamaica. The performance will mark her Caribbean debut.
Meanwhile, the pop superstar just wrapped up the Asian leg of her The Elusive Chanteuse Show world tour and two dates in Australia, including a show in Perth on November 2 and last night, November 5, in the South Australian capital of Adelaide’s Adelaide Entertainment Centre. On Friday, November 7, the tour continues at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena before the Australian part of her tour concludes at the Qantas Credit Union Arena in Sydney on Monday, November 10.
This is Carey’s first national Australian tour since her Butterfly world tour in 1998, though she did perform in three shows on the country’s East Coast in January 2013.
