Alec and Hilaria Baldwin to Read ‘Oliver Twist’ at BookHampton

This coming Black Friday, November 27, Amagansett residents Alec and Hilaria Baldwin will read from Oliver Twist at BookHampton in East Hampton.

The reading of the Charles Dickens classic will begin at 3 p.m. at 41 Main Street, East Hampton.

Lats month, is was announced that the owner of the BookHampton shops in Southampton and East Hampton, Charline Spektor, planned to retire from the business, closing both stores after the holiday season—unless someone else would come in to take over the stores. The Southampton store changed hands last week and will now be known as Southampton Books. The East Hampton store may find a new own.

The Baldwins are fans of books and their place in a thriving community.

Not only is Alec Baldwin a financial supporter of East Hampton Library, its new children’s wing and Authors’ Night, he is also credited with saving a struggling library in Rhode Island.
