Look Who's Talking About Dan’s Taste of Summer
Summer in the Hamptons means enjoying and indulging in the best of everything, and nothing captures that best-of-everything spirit like Dan’s Taste of Summer! The premier culinary events on the East End are returning this July and August, bigger and better than ever before. An impressive lineup of celebrity hosts, chefs and restaurants are gearing up for the most delectable summer in the Hamptons yet, and you’re invited.
Every year, Dan’s Papers elevates the Taste of Summer experience, and 2016 will be our biggest yet. For the first time ever, Dan’s Taste of Summer will comprise four events—Dan’s GrillHampton on Friday, July 22; Dan’s Taste of Two Forks Presented by Farrell Building Co. on Saturday, July 23; Dan’s Harvest East End on Saturday, August 20; and the all-new Dan’s ClambakeMTK at Gurney’s Montauk on Saturday, July 30. With four fabulous nights, we naturally have a lineup of incredible talent hosting the festivities—Adam Richman, Alex Guarnaschelli, Marc Murphy, Eden Grinshpan and Geoffrey Zakarian—who are looking forward to having as great a time as the culinary luminaries we’ve all raised glasses and forks with in the past.
“Everyone’s in a great mood, and we get to eat some awesome cuisine made with local, fresh East End ingredients. I love being part of anything food/wine related in the Hamptons.”—Bobby Flay, 2013 Taste of Two Forks Host
“GrillHampton brings together all of the best elements of summer—good friends, leisurely fun and relaxation, as well as iconic seasonal dishes and refreshing drinks, all in a gorgeous setting.”—Robert Irvine, 2014/2015 GrillHampton co-host
“There are some amazing restaurants on the East End—with access to fresh produce and seafood, the quality is always excellent. It’s wonderful to celebrate with Dan’s Taste of Two Forks the talented and diverse chefs and vineyards on the East End.”—Nicole Miller, 2012 Taste of Two Forks Ambassador of Taste
“I have never been able to resist a smorgasbord since I was an adventurous 8-year-old in Detroit, Michigan, and that’s what Dan’s Taste of Two Forks is to me—a chance to savor dozens of tastes, to meet chefs who care enough to stand at their tables dishing it up, to decide where I’ll go for dinner next.”—Gael Greene, legendary New York food critic
“I love seeing everyone at Dan’s Taste of Summer…the event is a wonderful getting-to-know-you thing. You get closer to your customers. When you’re working, you don’t always get to see the people enjoying your creations.”—Sarabeth Levine, acclaimed author, James Beard award-winning pastry chef and restaurateur, Sarabeth’s
“I call the East End home, and Eastern Long Island is one of the great culinary areas, one of the best food cultures, in the country. When people in other places hear ‘Hamptons,’ I think they think of this glitzy, glamorous place, but I really think it should be known for its food and wine. This is like a food mecca. And it’s so fantastic that Dan’s is celebrating all that with this event every year.”—Katie Lee, 2014/2015 Taste of Two Forks co-host
