Dan’s Hamptons Media has an exciting lineup of hosts for our Dan’s Taste of Summer 2017 events.
Our second brand new event—following the successful Dan’s Rosé Soirée, the official kickoff to summer in the Hamptons—Dan’s Corona MonTaco, presented by Don Julio, will be hosted by Adam Richman, Travel Channel host, author, food and travel explorer—not to mention the only guy we know who can eat a 6-pound, 2-foot, 5,000-calorie burrito in 90 minutes! Who could possibly be better suited for the job? At MonTaco, guests are invited to experience a Latin-inspired celebration like no other, featuring celebrated East End chefs’ culinary twists on classic Mexican cuisine. Dishes will be paired with Mexican cerveza, Spanish cavas, tequila and more. And it’s all happening at the fabulous Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa on Friday, July 7. Since nobody ever wants such nights to end, drinks and specialty food will keep flowing and the music will be pumping at a special VIP After Party.
Dan’s ClambakeMTK at Gurney’s Montauk on Saturday, July 8, will be hosted by Geoffrey and Margaret Zakarian. Geoffrey Zakarian is a star of Food Network’s Chopped, The Kitchen, Cooks vs. Cons, author of My Perfect Pantry, restaurateur behind The Lambs Club, The National in NYC, The National in Greenwich, Georgie and The Garden Bar at Montage Beverly Hills, Point Royal and Counter Point at The Diplomat Beach Resort and The Water Club at Borgata in Atlantic City and co-creator of Pro For Home food storage container system. Margaret Zakarian is President of Zakarian Hospitality, co-author of My Perfect Pantry and co-creator of Pro For Home food storage container system. Dan’s ClambakeMTK, our annual seaside soiree, features chefs from Montauk to Manhattan serving up the best of surf and turf while guests take in the sea air at Montauk’s hottest resort.
Dan’s GrillHampton presented by Pat LaFrieda at Fairview Farm in Bridgehampton on Friday, July 21, will be hosted by Robert Irvine, celebrity chef, entrepreneur, philanthropist, founder of the Robert Irvine Foundation, and chef/owner of Robert Irvine’s Public House at the Tropicana Las Vegas (scheduled to open the week after GrillHampton). Irvine is a two-time GrillHampton host (in 2014 and 2015) and a huge fan favorite at this NYC vs. Hamptons culinary showdown and tasting event. He spent time on the mic, mingled with guests, danced and had a great time with everyone there! As Irvine said, “GrillHampton brings together all of the best elements of summer—good friends, leisurely fun and relaxation, as well as iconic seasonal dishes and refreshing drinks, all in a gorgeous setting. Flavor, texture, good food, great atmosphere—we’ve got that.”
The 7th annual Dan’s Taste of Two Forks presented by Farrell Building Company on Saturday, July 22 will be hosted by Alex Guarnaschelli, chef/owner of Butter, judge on Food Network’s Chopped, author of Old School Comfort Food and soon-to-be released cookbook The Home Cook. The good humored Guarnaschelli will be on hand at Fairview Farm in Bridgehampton, making the night even more fun as guests taste the very best from top chefs, great winemakers and over 40 of the finest restaurants from the North and South Forks. This is the first Dan’s Taste of Summer event and continues to draw happy diners every year.
